The G@P- Galleries at Paratissima - opens during Paratissima, an off event of Artissima international fair of contemporary art, as a self-standing event focusing on Contemporary Art Galleries. Thirty galleries, of the Italian and international artistic scenes, will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell low-budget artworks, with the intent to draw the interest of young people and budding collectors, its hallmark.

 

Paratissima 2014 had a record 82,000 visitors: it now intends to establish itself as an international off-event open to a passionate and curious audience, including Art Galleries as well as young and creative talents.

 

G@P intends to fill in a gap between a more institutional, selective and oriented Art Fair aimed at elite collectors, and others Fairs exclusively reserved to young art galleries.

 

G@P intends to create a space where affordable artworks are offered in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

 

The eleventh edition of Paratissima takes place from November 4th-8th, 2015 and for the second time in the scenic Torino Esposizioni Building, at Valentino park.

 

The event is enriched with special projects provided by Paratissima in collaboration with various companies and associations, projects considered particular for their quality and significance as well as exhibitions that host internationally renowned artists.

 

Educational areas, laboratories and workshops are taking on a key role in the event in order to trigger an active participation, a connection between the public and young artists during the five days of event.

 

Artists’ exhibitions, shows and performances have as a common objective interaction between environment and society- just one of the particularities of Paratissima.

 

All this is thanks to the informal, welcoming and open-minded environment that Paratissima has towards new projects with a different perspective on all forms of social-cultural art.
